Overall, we had a good stay and felt the property offered solid value for the price. The location was a major highlight — easy access to the beach and nearby amenities made it very convenient. One of our favorite unexpected touches was the natural soundtrack at night; the frogs in the area made for quite the ambient experience! That said, there were a few things that kept this from being a five-star visit. The villa and kitchen feel dated, and the carpets are noticeably dingy and in need of refreshing. More pressing was the state of the oven — it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, and a residue in the bottom caused heavy smoke the first night, setting off the smoke detector. We ended up having to purchase oven cleaner ourselves to make it usable. We also noticed there were no basic cleaning supplies stocked in the unit — just one roll of paper towels, but nothing for wiping down counters or surfaces, which would be a simple but appreciated addition. One of the dining chairs was wobbly when we arrived and eventually gave way — though we’ll give credit where it’s due: when we reported it, it was replaced quickly, which we appreciated. We’d consider returning given the great location and overall value, but hope to see some improvements in unit maintenance and cleaning standards before our next visit.
